University Vienna The University of Vienna has played an essential role in the early days of Internet in Austria, and still does in providing two important services: ACOnet, the Austrian National Research and Education Network and the Vienna Internet eXchange. Last year, on the occasion of “20 Years of Internet in Austria”, a two-day anniversary celebration was hosted by the University of Vienna. After having been local host and sponsor for RIPE 33 in May 1999, it is a pleasure to welcome RIPE 63 in Vienna again!
